Lifelong horse enthusiasts, their passion for the Arabian breed was sparked by their father, who captivated them with stories of the Arabian horse’s rich history, unmatched beauty, and prestigious bloodlines, especially those tracing back to Abbas Pacha centuries ago. Tarek immersed himself in the art of equitation, while Ahmed delved into the intricate lineage of the Arabian horse. Together, they shared an unshakable belief in the extraordinary beauty that runs through the veins of pure Egyptian Arabians. Driven by their love for these majestic animals and a desire to enhance the straight Egyptian bloodlines, they established El Farida Stud in 2000. After years of meticulous selection, the first foals arrived in 2005. Tarek and Ahmed knew that to truly refine and preserve the Arabian bloodlines in Egypt, they would need the best breeding stock. In 2007, they seized a rare opportunity when the renowned Imperial Stud in the USA closed its doors. The brothers acquired Imperial Baareg, a remarkable son of the legendary Imperial Baarez. Their efforts were further rewarded when Barbera Griffith, owner of Imperial Stud, entrusted them with Imperial Baarez himself, knowing he was going to a stud that shared her deep admiration and respect for the breed. With Imperial Baarez, Tarek and Ahmed’s dream became a reality. In just a few short years, El Farida Stud earned a reputation as one of Egypt’s most respected and influential stud farms. Through their carefully selected mares and stallions, and a breeding program grounded in profound equine knowledge, El Farida continues to produce foals with exceptional bloodlines that are set to leave an enduring legacy in the world of straight Egyptian Arabians.
